About the Role

As a General Dentist at Commonwealth Dentistry, you’ll make a lasting impact on patients and teammates every day. You’ll deliver comprehensive and preventive dental care in a supportive group practice setting, while partnering with your Office Manager to build a positive, growth-oriented culture. This role reports to our Chief Dental Officer.

What You’ll Do

  • Live out the core values and code of conduct that make Commonwealth Dentistry a trusted name in patient care.
  • Provide hands-on, high-quality patient care every week in a collaborative, well-equipped environment.
  • Follow all office protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Perform thorough clinical and radiographic evaluations to diagnose and treat oral diseases with confidence and precision.
  • Empower patients through education - helping them understand preventive care, restorative dentistry, and oral hygiene in real, relatable terms.
  • Develop clear, personalized treatment plans that combine preventive and restorative care for long-term success.
  • Review medical and dental histories to provide safe, comprehensive treatment tailored to each patient.
  • Accurately document diagnoses, coding, and treatment plans in alignment with best practices and compliance standards.
  • Lead by example when it comes to safety and compliance with OSHA and state dental board requirements.
  • Partner with the Office Manager and Operations Team to keep the office running smoothly.
  • Participate in daily huddles that keep the team connected, aligned, and ready for the day ahead.

Requirements

  • Educational and Regulatory Requirements
    • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited dental school
    • Valid state dental license and malpractice insurance
    • Valid DEA license
    • Current CPR Certification
  • Essential Requirements
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
    • Empathy and a patient-centric approach to dental care
    • Detail-oriented with excellent clinical and diagnostic abilities
    • Commitment to ethical dental practices and patient confidentiality
    • Ability to manage under pressure and maintain professionalism at all times
    • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, education, racial, ethnic, and professional backgrounds
