The Role: We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Social Media Executive to join our growing Social@Ogilvy team. This role is crucial for the seamless execution of social media campaigns and content, providing essential support to the Social Manager. You will be the go-to person for ensuring our social content is always on point, on time, and making an impact. Key Responsibilities:
1. Social Media Content Execution & Coordination:
- Assist in the development, organization, and management of social media content calendars and asset trackers for assigned clients.
- Ensure all content posts are kept up to date on client documents and proactively alert the team to any changes, blockers, or potential delays.
- Prepare social research into current trends, topics, and competitor activities to inform content ideation and strategy.
- Contribute to the development of creative content angles and ideas, including preparing design examples and basic visual mock-ups.
- Assist in content creation for social media posts, including drafting compelling copy, preparing visual references, and basic video shooting/editing.
- Prepare and format all social media materials for internal review, client approval, and final publishing.
- Manage file keeping, ensuring all content assets, project documents, and client feedback are properly stored and easily accessible.
2. Community Management & Engagement Support:
- Monitor social media channels daily for client mentions, comments, direct messages, and relevant conversations.
- Assist in drafting timely and appropriate responses to community engagement under the guidance of the Social Media Manager.
- Support influencer identification and research for client campaigns, including compiling lists and initial outreach.
- Track influencer deliverables and monitor their content performance.
- 3. Administrative & Project Coordination:
- Provide excellent project coordination and administrative support, including agenda setting, meeting preparation, scheduling, status reports, and timeline tracking.
- Support the preparation of presentation materials for internal and client meetings.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating meetings, including preparing agendas and minutes.
- Manage internal tools (e.g., Maconomy) to support PO creation, job code creation, and activity reporting processes.
4. Research & Insights Support:
- Conduct thorough research on industry trends, competitive analysis, and new social media features/platforms relevant to client businesses and new business development.
- Assist in compiling data and insights for proposals, business development pitches, and internal learning.
- Monitor industry news and updates, sharing relevant information with the team.
5. Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Assist in building reports by analyzing organic and paid social media performance data.
- Compile basic post-event/campaign reports, including key metrics, observations, and initial recommendations.
- Understand that work needs to be delivered to the client’s scope of work, KPIs, and timelines.
6. Event Coverage & On-Ground Support:
- Assist the social team in covering client events and on-ground activities, including content capture (photos/videos).
- Prepare necessary event materials (e.g., mic, props, phone stand, talent sign-off forms, charging devices).
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 0-2 years of related industry experience in social media, digital marketing, or communications (fresh graduates with relevant internships are encouraged).
- Social Media Acumen: Strong grasp of the social media space, online media jargon, and technology. Familiarity with content algorithms and advertising formats on key platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, XiaoHongShu, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with co-workers and working-level clients.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with a keen sense of attention to detail and robust follow-through.
- Problem-Solving: Effective problem-solving skills and a resourceful approach.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledgeable in using social media tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Brandwatch, native analytics) and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Basic video editing/graphic design skills are a plus.
- Team Player: Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with diverse internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Curiosity: Relentless curiosity, a nose for news & trends, and a hunger for what makes great social content.
- Work Ethic: Passion and pride in driving great work, coupled with a strong work ethic.
NOTE: This role involves close collaboration with an alcoholic beverage brand. Candidates should be fully comfortable with the nature of the product and related marketing activities.
