About the Role

As a Specialist Technician, you’ll act as a subject matter expert (SME), supporting the rollingstock technician team with advanced diagnostics, investigations, and maintenance. You’ll also play a vital role in training, competency development, and technical support for specialist systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex maintenance investigations and corrective work.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job assessments for rollingstock technicians.
• Support training and apprenticeship programs.
• Respond to incidents and breakdowns, offering expert technical support.
• Contribute to modifications, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Champion safety, compliance, and collaborative teamwork.

Requirements

You’re a technically skilled professional with:

• Extensive experience in rollingstock or heavy mechanical/electrical systems.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• A passion for mentoring and developing others.
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
